The advantage of silicone bake ware is that the material heats quickly and cooks the contents very evenly. Cupcakes baked in silicone bake ware will have no burned edges and can be presented without cupcake papers. Individual silicone baking cups are best used if you only need to make a few cupcakes at a time and don’t want to use a full tray. When used properly, they will produce evenly baked cupcakes through little effort and time.

Instructions

1Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

2Shake a can of baking spray well and mist a light coating over the inside of the individual silicone baking cups.

3Pour enough cupcake batter into the individual cups to fill them three quarters of the way. Use an ice cream scoop to make transferring the batter from the mixing bowl to the cups easy.

4Place the individual silicone baking cups into the oven carefully, setting them as close to the middle of the oven rack as possible.

5Bake the cupcakes for 20 minutes and check on them. If the tops of the cupcakes have puffed up, poke the cupcake to the center with a tooth pick. If the tooth pick comes out clean, the cupcakes are ready to come out. Remove the cupcakes carefully, using oven mitts that have individual fingers to give you full control.

6Set the cupcakes on your counter and allow them to cool completely. Hold the mold sideways and gently pry out each cupcake using a butter knife to slide in between the silicone and the cake.

7Frost, glaze, or decorate the cupcakes as preferred.
